In this fast paced world everyone is really busy. The big question is, are you busy with the right things? At the end of your day, did you actually accomplish something?

The easiest way to be more productive and focus on meaningful work is to have a check or task list. This daily task list helps you to plan your day and at the end of the day you can take another quick look and feel good about everything you accomplished.

MeetingKing has a hidden tool to help you accomplish more during your busy day. I use it every day, it makes me more focused, I know I am working on the stuff that matters and at night I don’t have that nagging feeling that I forgot something. Instead I can relax and recharge for another productive day.

The Dashboard

MeetingKing started as a meeting tool to prepare your agenda and write your minutes, but meetings lead to tasks, so slowly the task functionality of MeetingKing was expanded. One of the most powerful and easiest ways to manage your tasks is in the Dashboard.

First activate the dashboard

The dashboard has three tabs:

  • Today
  • Tomorrow
  • Too late (Overdue)

Each tab shows:

  • Your tasks
  • Tasks others have to do for you
  • Your meetings

Make sure others complete their work

Being productive does not mean that you have to do all the work! On the contrary, being productive means making sure that things get done, and that includes tasks that others have to do!

Just look at the list what others have to do and simply add a comment (which will be emailed to the task owner) to check on the status. Being productive is not how many hours you put in; it is about making sure things get done!

Add new tasks with one click

Adding tasks in the dashboard is as simple as typing it and clicking enter. MeetingKing will set the due date and assign the owner (if it is a task for yourself).

The secret to enjoying a relaxed evening

Just like checking this dashboard is the first thing I do in the morning, it is the last thing I do before ending the workday. I update what needs to be updated and can feel good about everything my colleagues and I accomplished today. And if I need to move tasks to tomorrow, I just open the details and change the date.

Then I look at what needs to be done tomorrow, add any additional tasks I want to have done and I may contact some others by using the comment feature, for an additional reminder.

After that I can leave the office and relax, feeling good about today without nagging thoughts for tomorrow.

Happy Tasking!
