W.W.D.W.B.W. – a new abbreviation I just learned. I had not heard of it before, but it covers exactly what we have been propagating for years.

Recently there was a great article in the New York Times on how to run an effective meeting. https://www.nytimes.com/guides/business/how-to-run-an-effective-meeting. It is a brief article based on extensive research, I suggest you read it. Here are the main conclusions from the article with some key quotes:

Set the agenda.

“Give me an agenda or else I’m not going to sit there, because if I don’t know why we’re in the meeting, then there’s no reason for a meeting.”

Start on time. End on time.

“If the meeting is at 8, you’re not here at 8:01, you’re here at 8, because the meeting’s going to start at 8,”

End with an action plan.

W.W.D.W.B.W., which stands for Who Will Do What By When?”
